Moving Structures
Planning & Zoning Committee
This committee hears requests for conditional use permits, zoning changes and plat submissions, then makes recommendations to the city council.
A conditional use permit is needed if a space is being used for something other than what it is zoned for or if a business is planning on opening in a building that had a different type of operating business previously.

This committee meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 a.m. A Planning and Zoning application and fees must be turned in by the last Wednesday of the month to be on the agenda for the following month. There is a $150 non-refundable permit fee for applications.
Board of Adjustments Committee
This committee hears requests for variances. A variance is needed if applying for a building permit and conditions are outside of what the land use ordinance stipulates. An approved variance is permanent and does not need council approval.

The committee meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30am. A variance application must be turned in by the last Wednesday of the month to be placed on the agenda for the following month. There is a $150 non-refundable permit fee for applications.
